Our Story

Located in the historic city of Charleston, South Carolina, 1791 Wood Works is a small, disabled veteran–owned business. Founded by artisan Randy, the company grew from a lifelong passion for woodworking that began years ago in his father’s workshop in southern Ohio. Every piece created at 1791 Wood Works celebrates the natural beauty of wood and the timeless art of craftsmanship. By carefully selecting premium materials and using traditional techniques, Randy creates functional works of art designed to be enjoyed in your home.

Randy’s journey into woodworking started in a small Ohio town, where countless hours spent alongside his father taught him the values of patience, creativity, and attention to detail. Over time, he refined his skills and developed a distinctive style marked by precision and care in every step of the process.

Under the name 1791 Wood Works, Randy began crafting handmade cutting and charcuterie boards, each infused with his personal artistic touch.
